Bishops Green is a small village which lies just to the south of Newbury but just within the border of Hampshire. The village originally consisted of only a few cottages and farms scattered along the local road (C155) on the edge of Adbury Park. Then, during the Second World War, the American Air Force built two housing estates (the Eagle Road Estate and the Ashlands Estate) to house their air crews who were stationed at Greenham Air Base.
The Bishops Green Community Association has an executive committee of trustees appointed by the local residents at the Annual General Meeting each year to ensure the safe, secure and functional running of The Village Hall. Alongside the executive members being selected at the AGM the non executive trustees are appointed.
The current executive committee consists of:
Keith Bright – Chair
Tony Hiller – Vice Chair
Tricia House – Treasurer
Lisa Bright – Secretary

The Village Hall is available for hire to the public. Whether it be for a family event or a business opportunity this is a fantastic versatile space which is available from £20.00 per hour with a discount for local residents.
If the hall would be too big for your get together or meeting you wish to have, we also have a small meeting that seats 8-10 people with ample space and it can be hired from as little as £10.00 per hour, once again with a discount for local residents.
If you wish to enquire about booking a room at the The Village Hall please do get in touch via the contact page and with your requirements and we will get back to you.
